It seems that my grandson had been using my computer unbeknownst to me.my fault for not having a password even on my "limited" account. I had to come back and edit this message. When I went to type the message last night I had a popup about an outgoing PUP.įile: Program files(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe I went back and ran a scan with Farbar and have included the results below. I’m sorry but I think I messed up instead of running the scan with the Farbar I ran a scan with Malwarebytes of course that didn’t pick up anything. Of course I think decided to click on the data from chrome sync but that was only after I thought about it for a bit and said that was my only option.Īnyway.I clicked on the "Reset Sync" button and closed the browser. Of course to someone else reading this they might think that I should have known that both of those meant the same thing but to a novice such as myself I was going by the "actual wording" and when I didn't see that I stopped. In the Chrome Beta build it says "Data from Chrome Sync" (see image(s) The instructions say to " click the "Manage synced data on Google Dashboard" (2) in order to open Google Dashboard". Sorry for the delay it was just that some of the directions were confusing due to the fact that some of the information in the instructions for Chrome Stable build is a little different in the Chrome Beta build. Select the " Choose a File" navigate to the location of the File. In the Reply section in the bottom of the topic Click the " more reply Options" button. The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

If the problem persists please run this program.ĭownload the version of this tool for your operating system.Īnd save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.ĭouble-click to run it. If the problem persists IN CHROME and you Sync Chrome with other devices reset the Sync.Ĭhrome Secure Preferences detection always comes back If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps in the order listed. that I want? Is there a way to uninstall ALL of the files of Chrome Beta 32 (or any other software) from my system so that it doesn't re-install with all the issues it had before?

If it's a fresh install shouldn't it be at it's default state UNTIL I install the themes etc. To clarify I say it's the same one because when I re-install it, it still has the same bookmarks, extension and theme.

I had hoped that if I reinstalled the Chrome Beta 32 bit file that it would be a fresh install but the same browser re-installs. I should also mention that I have uninstalled the Chrome Beta 32 bit and the issue stopped. Meaning that I could only have the Beta, Dev or Canary versions running alongside the stable version without issues.Īnyway, I've noticed that whenever I have the Chrome 32 bit browser open that I get these pop-ups from Malwarebytes saying something about an outgoing this or a trojan that.
MALWAREBYTES GOOGLE SYNC DATA PUP 64 BIT
I had the 32bit and when I installed the 64 bit it overrode the 32 bit version. I would have installed the stable 32 bit but unforunately you can't have both the stable 64 bit and 32 bit at the same time. I have installed Chrome Beta 32 bit on my system. I have an issue with my installation of Chrome Beta 32bit.
